Arrival and Dismissal
We ask that your child arrives on time to help them settle in for a smooth start to the day.
If someone other than you (or your carpool) is picking up your child, please let us know in writing ahead of time. We’ll release your child only with written permission.
Clothing
Please mark your child’s clothes and belongings with their name.
For school, we recommend comfortable, washable clothes that encourage independence and play. Be sure to send your child in properly-fitting shoes—no sandals, thongs, Crocs, Natives, or boots.
Extra clothes are available in case of accidents, but feel free to bring your own if needed!
Foods
Children bring their own lunch, but we provide a nutritious snack daily.
For lunches:
Please pack healthy, trash-free meals in reusable containers (no chips, cookies, fruit rolls, or sodas).
Label your lunch box with your child's name.
Please let us know if your child has any allergies or special dietary needs.
Birthdays
We love celebrating birthdays! You can bring a special treat for the class to share. Please coordinate with your child’s teacher at least one week in advance to pick a date.
Toys from Home
We generally ask that children leave toys at home unless it’s a special “sharing day” or you’ve talked to the teacher about bringing something in. Any shared items should be in a bag, labeled with your child’s name, and small enough to fit in their cubby.
Health
Hand-washing is a key part of our daily routine to keep everyone healthy. We teach children how and when to wash their hands properly.
If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them at home and let us know. Children with greenish-colored mucus or symptoms of illness should not come to school until they are well enough to join in all activities.
If a child in our school is diagnosed with a communicable disease (like chickenpox), we’ll inform parents and may adjust schedules accordingly.
Special Information
It’s important that we have your up-to-date contact info, including phone numbers, doctors, and emergency contacts. Please notify us of any changes so we can stay in touch!
